Procedure
When patients visit us at Tandestetik Stockholm, we take an impression of their teeth in order to create the veneers in a lab. The veneers are expertly crafted to match the size, shape, and color of your teeth. It takes about a week to create your veneers.
In order to place dental veneers, the tooth needs to be prepared by removing a portion of the enamel. This will have the effect of allowing the veneer lie flat and in line with your gum tissue.
Following the preparation of the tooth, a temporary veneer is secured by using a removable glue. When you wear the temporary veneer, brush your teeth gently and avoid eating any foods that could displace it.
When your permanent veneers are ready, the temporary veneer is removed, and we ensure that the new veneer will be a perfect fit. The veneer is typically attached using a water-based solution first, allowing us to check its look and whether it is a perfect fit. When adjustments are required, they are done prior to final bonding. Adjustments are done on the spot. The tooth is cleaned, and the dental veneer is bonded to the tooth. The results are instant with a great new smile right away.
Following the procedure:
Your teeth will usually feel sore for a few days following the preparation phase and placement of the permanent veneers. You can seek relief from this pain by using the appropriate medication.
